Thank you, Peter. Maybe someone with a parts manual will provide specifics. Seeing the red paint on the plate makes me think of the primer applied to cloth on fight controls. Did the 210 use cloth-covered surfaces? If so, maybe the plate is associated with the rudder or elevator?
