Ju88/Ju188 ID plates

There are many of these plates in existence. They are all the same basic three-line style, but with different entries for the Gerat and Werk numbers. How did so many survive? Where were they found? Are these plates, and the entries on them, authentic or fake? Thank you.

Es handelt sich bei diesen Schildern um Hortfunde die seit einiger Zeit immer mal in der Nähe alter Junkers Werke im Raum Dessau/Magdeburg auftauchen. Die Typenschilder sind Blanko und wurden vorproduziert, aber nie ausgegeben. Die Einträge der Werknummern sind - auf den Typenschildern auf dem Foto zumindest - durchaus original so eingeschlagen.

Christoph, thank you for your reply. Can you say if the information engraved on these plates was entered before or after 1945? The concern is that, possibly, blank plates made before 1945 were found after the war. Then, some time later, information was added to fill the blanks. If that happened, the plates are not authentic. As a collectible relic, blank plates are worth much less than plates with true entries. it appears that these plates were never attached to airplanes. Why not?
